Do You Ever Get Really REALLY Mad?

I hope I am not the only soul out here, who on occasion gets truly angry, mad, erupts like a volcano..?

I am a Libra Lady, who really likes for my world to be balanced and at peace. I do hate to lose my temper, but some things just set me off.

Recently, it was..quite by accident.. finding out my teen had gotten her tongue pierced. My temperature rose to
108 degrees and I let looose.... I was so thoughly grossed out by her tongue piercing, that I fumed and steamed.

My sarcastic 31 year old daughter, in a email yesterday, told me I have temper tantrums... adding that I was an unhappy person... I found her remarks funny, untrue, and with thoughts... "Goodness, she has no idea, who I am?"

My gal pals know me, and understand me, but my children have a different view of who I am... They think I should be perfect without flaws... HMMM???

Confessions:

Am I the only soul here, who does on occasion lose their temper?

How do you handle being really upset about something in your life????

    Hi Linda11,

Jesus had the same prblem with high -tempered Peter, Yes, one of his disciples , a hot head, the one that Jesus gave the keys of the kingdom too. How would you like to handle Peter fling of the handle all the time 24-7. for 3 years. Jesus got anrgy too! Yes he did . He used spiritual anger when he clensed the temple.

I too lose my temper on occasion.  Once I have huffed and puffed I usually feel better.  But anyone who has a teenager has to admit that parenting them can get you quite upset at times.  It goes with the territory.  And don't let their attitude that you are supposed to be perfect get to you.  My son has believed that his dad is an angel and I have been the devil for most of his teen years.  And it doesn't count that his dad is actually an angel now.

and, you are perfect, and without flaws.  And just who you should be.  And, YOU  already know that.  Don't need gal friends, or kids, validation.  But on to the question at hand.  I do not blow up, it wouldn't be fun, for me or anyone else.  Instead I let it out as it happens, not allowing pressure to build up.  So my reactions to stuff can often be brutle, or thoughtless, but they will be honest from my point of view.

So, as I return from my nap (hey, I guess I was tired, don'cha know) I wil probably make no attempt to catch up on the past.  It is nice to know that you and daughter are still together and alive.  See, there's a good side to everything.  rt
